Accreditation to support Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s Standards and Labelling programme

The National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) signed an MoU with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on 28 May 2018 to provide accreditation services to support BEE’s regulatory and voluntary frameworks. To begin with, NABCB will provide accredited certification services through NABCB accredited Product Certification Bodies who will carry out activities as Independent Agencies for Monitoring and Evaluation to support implementation of BEE’s popular Standards & Labelling (S&L) Programme for star rating of electrical appliances.

The association with NABCB will enable BEE to achieve its objective of providing the consumer with an informed choice about energy saving in an independent and prompt manner.
